MY BACKGROUND :
I was born in Poland, where I graduated from the second
oldest European school - Jagiellonian University in Krakow,
Poland .
Because of my fascination with the biology of the human brain, I
started practicing Neurology in Poland for a few years.
My interest in Psychiatry was just a natural transition in my
attempt to get a deeper understanding of our brain and our mind.
In 1997, I moved to Texas where I had my General Psychiatry
Residency Training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth,
TX.
In order to study in detail developmental aspects of Psychiatry ,
In 2000, I relocated to Chicago where I completed my fellowship
in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Chicago,
IL.
During that time, I was a member of the University of Chicago
Medical Obesity Treatment Team.
I have been treating children, adolescents and adults, both
outpatient and inpatient since joining a private practice in Fort
Walton Beach in 7/2002. My interests include applications of
psychopharmacology and genetics in Child, Adolescent and Adult
Psychiatry.
