Jerzy Grzebieluch, M.D.
I was born in Poland, where I graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Because of my fascination with the biology of the human brain, I started practicing Neurology in Poland for a few years. My interest in Psychiatry was just a natural transition in my attempt to get a deeper understanding of our brain and our mind.
Background
In 1996, I moved to Texas where I had my General Psychiatry Residency Training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
I relocated to Chicago, Illinois in 2000, where I completed my fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Chicago. During this time, I was a member of the University of Chicago Medical Obesity Treatment Team.
I have been treating children, adolescents and adults, both outpatient and inpatient, since establishing my private practice in Fort Walton Beach in 2002. My interests include application of epigenetics, brain information processing and psychopharmacology in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry.
Professional Experience
Neurology Attending Physician in Krakow, Poland: Inpatient Neurology Department (Inpatient Neurology Practice, 1993–1996).
After receiving my medical degree at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, I began practicing neurology. It was this interest in the human brain that naturally parlayed itself into a career of studying and practicing Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry in the United States.
Since 2002, I've been in my private practice in Fort Walton Beach where I provide both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care. Inpatient care is administered at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where I am an attending psychiatrist.

In 2012, I completed an Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Fellowship at Emory University which qualified me to perform ECT at the Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach. I am qualified to perform neuropsychological testing while also treating patients with medication management (psychopharmacology).
