Children Studying Together

CHILD PSYCHIATRIST · FORT WALTON BEACH

Understanding your child. Planning the next steps.

I evaluate and treat children and teens. As a physician board-certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, I consider symptoms in the context of your child’s development and daily life.
Your child’s development. Home and school life. Your concerns.

WHEN TO SEEK AN EVALUATION

When symptoms affect everyday life

Attention problems, anxiety, mood changes and behavioral concerns can have several explanations. I look at when the difficulties began, how they developed and how they affect home, school and relationships.

Concerns I evaluate

ADHD and attention difficulties; anxiety and OCD; depression and mood symptoms; emotional and behavioral concerns; developmental and autism-related concerns.

Your child’s history

I review early development, medical and family history, learning, school performance, friendships, behavior and changes over time.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A plan for your child

I consider your child’s history, clinical interview and available records together. I explain the findings and discuss treatment, which may include medication, psychotherapy recommendations, school supports or coordination with other clinicians.

No PCM referral needed.

I am an in-network TRICARE provider. The TRICARE patients I see do not need a primary care manager (PCM) referral for outpatient psychiatric visits.

Our office handles TRICARE authorizations for you.

We verify your coverage and obtain any required authorizations for care provided by our practice. You do not need to arrange them yourself.

After you submit, our office will call you within one business day to schedule.
